Those aren’t pillows!

The Sun newspaper once ran a story on people who fall in love with inanimate objects. Included in the article was an interview with a man who was besotted with pavements so much so that he couldn’t resist whipping his winkle out and making love to any curb in sight, (for him the streets were quite literally paved in gold). There was also a lady who married the Eiffel Tower and a man who married the Berlin Wall. To follow on from that hilarious thread (yes, it’s probably a disease blah blah blah) a Japanese man has confessed his undying love for his ‘squeeze’ – a giant cushion. (These stories only come around once in a blue moon but when they do they’re real crackerjacks).

According to Ananova, Lee Jin-gyu of Tokyo has ‘fallen head over heels for a Japanese 'dakimakura' - or hugging pillow’. Talking about his fixation, a friend of the loved-up 28 year old said: ‘He is completely obsessed with this pillow and takes it everywhere. They go out to the park or the funfair where it will go on all the rides with him. Then when he goes out to eat he takes it with him and it gets its own seat and its own meal’.

The pillow in question features an anime character called Fate Testarossa and are said to be all the rage in Japan. The pillow is yet to comment.
