The breast Christmas present from Granny

This is one woolly item you're unlikely to end up with at Christmas, unless you are a mum-to-be, or Granny got confused about which knitting pattern to use this year. In a somewhat innovative way of teaching women how to breast-feed, the NHS has asked the Somerset Women’s Union to create 150 mammary models in their spare time, which could replace balloons that were previously used to educate young mothers about mastitis and blocked ducts.

One old dear misheard the call initially, thinking the order was for 150 vests, but the needles were soon out for this good cause. Apparently, wool makes a good medium for creating the perfect boob, and is often used as a prosthetic by women who have been affected by cancer.

We say big, small, rubber or wool, tits are always an inspiration.
