The $1.4 million dollar bum

American cop drama NYPD Blue could be made to fork out a massive $1.4 million for showing a woman’s bottom before the watershed. Liberal progressive think-tank, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), says that “sexual or excretory activities" shown in an "offensive" way before 10pm equates to indecency.

Excretory activities? The woman was preparing to get in the shower! We hate to think what the members of the FCC are used to doing in the shower. And sexual activities?  Well we know where the FCC like it…

This is the second largest fine put on a US show, runner-up to the $3.6m slap on the wrist against CBS for an episode of Without A Trace showing a group of teenagers in flagrante. Even the Janet Jackson boob flash only garnered a fine of $550,000 and that practically had Justin Timberlake fondling a bare breast on TV. Oh maybe they got away with it because it was an accident. Chinny-reckooon! So much of an accident that she knew to put a silver star on her nipple beforehand…

So we saw a little bit of bum. So what? We think this is all a bit silly really. We’ve seen more in shower gel ads. Next they’ll be fining networks for bare ankles…
