Out of the Frying pan

An angry Stephen Fry has criticised reports that quoted him as saying that women don’t really like having sex.

The known wit used microblogging site Twitter to accuse the Observer newspaper of portraying him as ‘the antichrist’.

The outburst comes after the newspaper reported comments he made to Attitude magazine that straight women only go to bed with men ‘because sex is the price they are willing to pay for a relationship.’ He went on to say: ‘If women liked sex as much as men, there would be straight cruising areas in the way there are gay cruising areas.’

A sulky Stephen denounced the article, saying: ‘So some fucking paper misquotes a humorous interview I gave, which itself misquoted me, and now I'm the antichrist. I give up.’

Fans and followers fear he might give up blogging when he later cryptically tweeted ‘bye bye’.

If I were you Stephen, I wouldn't flirt with the idea. Just jump.
