NHS hospital becomes porn flick set

Money-saving ideas and Government expenses are always controversial subjects with political parties old and new: ministers argue about the price of beer and fags, whilst some party member makes claims on a fourth home in Barnsey. However, one NHS hospital has caused some concern about spending after it took it upon itself to make a few extra bob by hiring out a disused ward as a porn film set.

The issue was brought to light by Tory MP Penny Mordaunt at the House of Commons yesterday, when she claimed to have 'discovered that one of our local hospitals was hiring out one of its closed, but fully-equipped, wards to a film company to use as a film set.' She later mentioned that the film was of a not-so reputable nature, adding that 'these things are no longer claimable on parliamentary expenses', the Sun online reports.

Channel XXX movies aside, it would have been a little cheeky if former Home Office minister Jackie Smith's husband had put that on her list of expenses.
