Making love not war is what we should all be doing for the forthcoming second annual Synchronised Global Orgasm for Peace. The aim is for thousands of people all over the world to all have an orgasm at the moment of the Winter Solstice – December 22 at 6.08am GMT – sending out good vibes into the universe. So make sure you come on time…

We can’t help but think, though, that trying to “effect positive change through input of the largest possible instantaneous surge of human biological, mental and spiritual energy” at the crack of dawn in late December, is all very well if you’re a barefoot hippy shagging in the forest with the smell of fresh air to get you “up” in the morning. But what if you’ve got four screaming kids, a wife with a “headache” and the in-laws staying for Christmas in the next room? How about we reschedule, eh?
