More naked advertising

Last week we predicted the world of advertising would be showing more and more skin to attract our attention. But, after the furore in America over the Abercrombie ads and London Transport’s naked Venus, we thought it might take a while for full-on naked advertising. So imagine our shock/delight when a naked woman appears in the windows of Selfridges in London.

People on their way to work got more than they bargained for when they walked past the shop’s window, which had a woman seated, posing for a painting wearing nothing but a piece of cloth draped over her shoulder.

So what was she doing there? The model stripped off to advertise the new fragrance by Agent Provocateur, aptly named Strip. Agent Provocateur is well-known for its close-to-the-knuckle advertising but this is their raunchiest yet!

But if you missed this naked sight last Thursday, don’t worry. Rumour has it that the label has similar campaigns planned for the future. You just have to be in the right place, at the right time…
