Lady Gaga declares ‘war’ on homophobe

Whatever you think of Lady G, you certainly can’t gag her – and the singer’s always been right on with trumpeting the cause of gay rights and tackling homophobia.

And at a recent gig she was forced to make a stand when a man aimed homophobic abuse at her friend.

The outspoken singer had performed in an Ottawa club and was dancing with pals when a man approached them and started abusing her and fellow star Adam Lambert.

The National Enquirer reports that the man called Lambert a derogatory term and told Gaga she was a man. She was quick to fire back, saying: ‘Well, that’s your opinion, isn’t it? And I’m not about to waste my time trying to change it.’

The man continued, calling the pair ‘freaks’ and telling them they were going to hell. That for Gaga was the last straw. She replied: ‘Okay, that’s it. Call me anything you want, but when you start calling my friends names, it’s over – it’s war!’

She then poured a drink over his head before making an exit.
