Does (sex)life begin at 45?

They say that life begins at forty (or is that forty-five?), when men and women, fresh in the throes of a mid-life crisis, buy Porsches, motorbikes, adventure holidays and re-decorate the house. All of this might be a means of getting rid of some sexual frustration as a new survey out today shows that once you reach forty-five, it's downhill all the way for the old rough and tumble.

Kwai Garlic supplements, who carried out the review, looked at the sexual habits of nearly 2,000 of our 'senior' citizens and revealed that 'one in three [...]said [that] they cut their sexual encounters short because they didn’t have the energy and 37 per cent were too tired to perform at all', the Metro reports.

In order to prevent the somewhat inevitable decline of all things frisky, the organisation recommends maintaining a healty lifestyle: 'People over 45 should add sex to their exercise routine in order to help maintain optimum heart health, while having fun.' So, dust off that tread-mill and put down a few cushions...
