A good licking

When it's a hot Summer's day, the usual way we like to cool off involves cold water: drinking it, swimming in it, or maybe even holding it in our mouths in its frozen form whilst we run our tongue down our partner's back... (ahem! Cold shower!!) One thing we wouldn't necessarily think of doing would be to slurp down on a cone covered in frozen breast-milk.

And yet one ice cream firm in London believes that there is a market for Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest churned with breast-milk, happily provided by London mum Victoria Hiley at the price of £14 a pop, the BBC News reveals. But do the hot and sweaty masses of London get to see it (ahem) produced?

'Icecreamists founder Matt O'Connor placed an advert appealing for breast milk donations and believes his new recipe will be a success. 'If it's good enough for our children, it's good enough for the rest of us,' he said. [...] Mrs Hiley, who gets £15 for every 10 ounces of milk she donates to the company, said it was a great 'recession beater'.

We can imagine some sections of society might just stick to a cool tub of raspberry ripple to get their kicks.
