Mind the air conditioning

Web work is a tricky business. As we type these articles, we fill strange little boxes online with symbols, abbreviations and a number of commands to ensure, faithful readers, that you have your daily fill of sexploit goodness. Something that's not necessary for us to be able to do our jobs is a complete lack of clothes. When we hired some sexy temps a while back, the idea was proposed but we figured it might not be worth the trouble with unions etc. The temps might not have understood that it was a joke.

One UK company however, is bold enough to be recruiting web coders as members of its staff that would have to be naked to carry out their jobs. 'Nude House' which provides hot spots and other techie functions for online profiles, The Register explains, has an openly Naturistic atmosphere that enables its workers to strip off down to the buff but feel that they are able to work without the connatations of sex that nakedness can bring.

'Because it is the first establishment in the world it is difficult to advertise – many seem to confuse the issue of being without clothes as being a place without concerns for personal freedom, where sex is paramount in its many varied forms.'

'Sex does not play a part in naturism – yes one is aware of differences in sex and size and shape and age of everyone, but the concern is on sales and technical ability, not availability.'

We think office tours must be a lot more exciting for Nude House. Now if only we could get the proposal to have 'Naked After-work drinks' back on the agenda at Excite...
