If you’re in the Ivory Coast and your girlfriend asks, “Does my bum look big in this?” – the answer is “Yeeeees!”
In the Ivory Coast, a big behind is something to really put out there, not to try to cover up or be ashamed of. So much so that it has even sparked a national craze with a song recently released celebrating the beauty of the big booty.
The hit, called Bobaraba (which means "big bottom" in the local Djoula language) is also accompanied by a new dance, which has been sweeping the dance floors of the country. And it doesn’t stop there – even footballers have been wiggling their bottoms as a celebratory dance after putting one in the back of the net.
So how do you do the dance? Well, basically, you wiggle your bum up and down in time to the music. So if you want to get down to Bobaraba, you can watch the video here – get that booty bouncing!
