Berlin brothel offers discount to cyclists

A brothel in Berlin has come up with a novel way to tempt clients through its doors in these cash-strapped times while also doing its bit for the environment: they're offering discounts to cyclists.

Thomas Goetz, the owner of the 'Maison d'envie' knocking shop, spoke about the marketing ploy: "The recession has hit our industry hard. Obviously we hope that the discount will attract more people. It's good for business, it's good for the environment - and it's good for the girls."

Patrons who can prove that they made their way to the brothel on public transport or by bike receive a £10 reduction on their 45 minute session. Goetz told Reuters that the offer was working a treat.

"We have around 3-5 new customers coming in daily to take advantage of the discount," the brothel keeper said. Goetz also claimed that the innovative offer had helped to reduce traffic and parking congestion in the locality.
